At Gilcrest Center, we recognize that access to timely and reliable medical transportation is crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of our clients. That’s why we proudly extend our services to include professional and punctual medical transportation.
We also understand that transportation to places like the grocery store, or even a friends house is a critical aspect, because of this we also include transportation for non-medical trips.
We currently serve Wayne, Medina, Stark, and Summit Counties, ensuring community residents and nursing facilities have access to dependable transit for their medical & non-medical needs.
Gilcrest Transportation – Your Companion on the go
Gilcrest Transportation operates Monday through Saturday, providing safe, punctual, and trustworthy transportation for residents. Whether it’s a trip to the grocery store, pharmacy, work, or running personal errands, our service ensures that you can get where you need to go without stress or delay.
We’re proud to be in partnership with several respected health and community programs, including:
- Community Action Wayne/Medina
- Modivcare (United Health Care)
- Medicaid (Ambulette only)
- MyCare Ohio (CareSource)
- PASSPORT
- Provide A Ride
In order to ensure our services are available to everyone, we also accept private pay arrangements if you’re not enrolled in any of these specific programs.
Wheelchair & Ambulatory Transport
Our transportation service is available for any individual in need of transportation. What you need when setting up a transport:
- Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- DOB
- Insurance (if applicable)
- Doctor’s Name
- Facility Name
- Address w/ Suite Number
For private clients, we accept cash, check or credit card. Cash or check is due at the time of the transport; if paying with a card, information will need to be provided to dispatch prior to the trip.

Our dispatch service operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, to accommodate a wide range of schedules and requirements. Please note that we are closed on major holidays.
